| I have seen some decent Timex watches but this watch is the all time high!! Very exquisite design and everything is very easy to see and operate..The stainless steel is amazing and it has no scratches as of yet. It is however, a very heavy watch. My fiancee loves the watch and he is a little on the rough side playing basketball and all. I would most definitely recommend this watch..The colors are magnificent and it can go either casual, work or play...LOVE IT!!! |

While I didn't find this watch at Amazon, I did get it at one of Amazon's partners (Target brick-and-mortar) for an amazing 50% off. The first thing that sets you off about this watch is its weight. It is HEAVY. With watches, HEAVY equals SOLID. The numbers are easy to read, and the watch is very comfortable on my wrist. This is one of the only watches I've been able to find that isn't tight on my wrist, it is nicely loose, yet not flopping around. Setting the watch is fairly straight forward, except for the DAY indicator, which requires you to cycle through an entire 24-hour period for each day you need to skip to get to the right day. A minor annoyance, since you shouldn't have to be setting this watch very often. All in all, this is a fantastic watch, I am very very happy.
A friend of mine whose tastes are quite a bit more expensive than mine came to visit me shortly after getting this watch. Keep in mind this gentleman wears watches whose name start with R and end with X. He said "What did you do, go out and buy a Breitling?" The ultimate compliment after I spent $49.99! |

This is a really great looking watch. I had a Swiss Army watch for the last thirteen years that finally gave out, so thought it would be a good time to get a new watch.
If you're considering buying this watch, the first thing to realize is that it's a big watch. If you haven't had a big faced watch before, this takes some getting used to (but look around, it's really not much bigger than a Rolex or a Breitling).
Now to the watch- it's a Timex, so you know it's a quality build and a good value. This is probably one of the most stylish watches Timex makes; with the unique orange color highlights, it's also very eye-catching. Since I got it, I've received numerous compliments on it and people always ask what kind of watch I'm wearing (and yes, they're VERY surprised it's a Timex). If the band doesn't fit, don't bother messing with it yourself; save the heartache, go to Sears and have them adjust it for less than $10. And as for the band- grade A: very easy on and off and a quality feel to it.
OK- so why the 4 stars? It's a great looking watch, but it's difficult to read. First off, with the smaller white dials, the hands get lost against the face (Timex probably should have highlighted the hands with orange instead of white). In less than optimum light it's hard to read the time; in the dark (like a bar or club) it's almost impossible. Next up, the date, 24 hour time of day, and day dials. All of these are EXTREMELY small and not easy reads. The day of the week is probably the easiest; the 24 hour time of day gives you a quick reference (and in my opinion is kind of a silly dial to have in the first place unless you live in Alaska with 22 hours of sunlight) and the date dial is just about impossible to read.
With all that said, you'd figure I'd give it fewer stars.
Soooooo- would I buy this watch again? Yep! It really is a beautiful watch! Like anything premium, it has its quirks, but with the beauty (and it really is sharp looking), you take the not so perfect with the good. On quality and value, this is a five. On functionality, a three. But on style- a 5+! If you enjoy a sharp looking watch and aren't too picky on having a chronograph (it isn't, but does look like it is) get this watch. This has now become my everyday wearer; I'm in no hurry to fix the Swiss Army sitting on my bedside table...

| I bought this watch about a month ago and not a day has gone by that I've regretted buying it. Honestly, it's the best watch I've ever had. It looks very nice with anything you wear and I've had random people that I've walked past compliment me on it. It's a very solid watch, relatively easy to remove links so you can resize it, not too heavy, all around great. All the hands except the second hand have glow-in-the-dark stripes on them so that you can read it at night, but the numbers are pretty darn small and the numbers themselves do not glow in the dark, so it makes it a little more difficult to read than your average watch, day or night. It does not, however, have the chronograph function like Amazon says it does. If that's a deal-breaker for you, don't get this watch. I didn't really mind, so I still love the watch. All in all, the good outweigh the bad and make this a great watch. |

| It is a nice looking watch, but the date & military time function is a little hard to use since the numbers on the face and the dials on the side are so small and bunched together. I also wish the band was not so shiny. I would have preferred more of a polished or matte look, but since they didn't provide a picture of the band I took a chance. But the worst part of it all is that the band itself actually squeaks! I have always worn Fossil watches and never had this kind of problem. I wish it did look a little more professional on my wrist, but for $65 it's ok. |
